Venous Doppler Exam
Venous Doppler exam uses ultrasound technology to look inside veins and assess blood flow. Vein Doppler ultrasound is used to evaluate the direction, velocity, and turbulence of blood flow in the large veins of the patient’s arms, legs, and neck.
Cardiology Associates of South Florida use results of a Veinous Doppler Exam to diagnose many conditions, such as blood clots, valve failure in the veins of the legs that cause fluid buildup (venous insufficiency), or deep vein thrombosis.
